수장이 될 자격이 없다 마줄스

오늘 새벽, 시간을 잘 못 알아서(차라리 너무 다행) 이루어진 window4 우리나라 vs 레바논 농구 경기를 못 봤다.

아침에 일어나니 쿠팡플레이 하이라이트가 떠 있어서 일단 댓글부터 봤다.

"감독 바꿔라"

또 졌구나.

기껏해야 동호회 농구 경험자지만, 농구는 생각보다 감독이 '수비'를 얼마나 잘 지시하는지로 결판나는 스포츠이다.

오늘 유독 날아다니는 상대방 선수들을 분석해서 효과적으로 수비를 변형하기도 해야되는데, 그렇게 하기 위해서는 우리나라 선수들의 수비 능력에 대한 이해도가 필요하다.

근데, 마줄스가 우리나라 선수들에 대한 이해도가 있는가? 없다. 아주 없다.

바꿔라. 제발.

내가 김경문에 대해서 내는 불만은 한계가 있다. 내가 봐도 한화 선수들이 올해 유독 안된다. 이건 누가 와도 안된다.

근데 지금 국대 농구는 다르다. 말이 통하는 사람이 감독을 해야 한다. 빨리 전술을 바꾸고 경기중에 1대 1로 선수들을 독려해야 된다. 전희철, 조상현 다시 부르자.

I missed the Window 4 game between Korea and Lebanon early this morning because I got the time wrong — which, honestly, turned out to be a blessing.

When I woke up this morning, a Coupang Play highlight clip was waiting for me, so the first thing I did was scroll the comments.

"Fire the coach."

OK, we lost again.

I'm a rec-league player at best, but basketball is a sport that comes down, far more than people realize, to how well the head coach directs the defense.

Coach have to read whichever opposing players are unstoppable that game and tweak your defensive scheme to deal with them — and to do that, Coach need a real grasp of what your own players can and can't do on defense.

So does Mazurs have any grasp of Korean players? He doesn't. Not in the slightest.

Replace him. Please.

There's a limit to how much I can complain about Kim Kyung-moon. Even to my eyes, the Hanwha players are just badly off this year. Nobody could fix that roster.

But the national basketball team is a different story. We need someone who can actually communicate with the players — someone who can adjust the tactics quickly and get in guys' ears one-on-one during the game. Let's bring back Chun Hee-chul or Cho Sang-hyun.

How many times is this now, seriously?
